AMMAN (JT) – Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit on Monday referred to the attorney general of Amman two tenders that the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) had granted to certain companies without inviting other bids.
One of the tenders was referred to a security corporation, while the other to a specialised consultation and technical services firm, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Earlier this year, Bakhit also referred a GAM file entailing suspected corruption to the Anti-Corruption Commission, which is still investigating the issue.
A House panel is currently looking into all the municipality’s projects for the past 10 years.
